Taxi fare▾
Uses the government formula (SL 29 of 2019): CI$5.60 base for up to 4 people, then CI$0.80 per 0.2 mile. Road distance is estimated. Extra bags and waiting time add a little.
CUC electricity bill▾
Take-home pay and rent budget▾
No income tax. Deductions are 5% pension (on the first CI$87,000) and your half of the minimum SHIC health premium; dependants are usually fully employee-paid. Rent budget uses a 25% ceiling because groceries, power and insurance here run high.
